XTron is born / The Blue Bird Sings!
Another big week of change : )
Happy Tuesday, animals!
So Elon Musk has purchased 100% of Twitter! CNN+ shut down in after one month đ. Disney stock down almost $50 Billion after being exposed for wanting to program gender confusion and sexual ideas into our young children⊠it all feels like a narrative shift to me!! Could we see free speech coming to Twitter just as more truth starts to hit the world stage? Will we see Julian Assange and Wikileaks take the stage again? đ€It looks that way. Iâm not saying Elon Musk isnât an actor on the worldâs stage (he most certainly is) â but I welcome this new chapter of âthe showâ ; )
XTron is bornâŠ
It was really fun creating a character with my 7 year old Fin a few days ago. On Friday he showed my his character drawing, and started telling me about him, and I coaxed a little more out of him while I started drawing. We landed on XTron, and I do expect heâll be making more appearances in this Anml Comic Universe : )
XTron is a bit of a mash-up between a whole bunch of Spiderman nemesisâ, and I started getting some ideas of my own about his powers and the role he could play in a superhero comic universe.
The first of itâs kind in the Anml Series, its currently priced at 444 Algo.

The Xtron NFT is minted with the 30 second Proof-of-work video, which shows the brushstroke creation process in Procreate on the iPad.

Free Bird!?
First thing yesterday morning, my âBeginner Memeâ featuring Elon Sold for 260 Algo, which was wonderful to see âĄïžâ€ïž.

Of course, I couldnât just leave it at that ; ) I was inspired to draw a blue bird let out of its cage in Anml 031. Somehow it felt appropriate to make reference to Seth Godinâs book, the Icarus Deception, which features an empty bird cage and asks the reader âHow high will you fly?â I read this book circa 2011, and it had quite a profound effect on me. I remember being absolutely lit with inspiration. There was a moment I sat with this book on the veranda out front of the CSUCI library, and I committed to flying to âdragon heightsâ ; )
That was when I doubled-down on writing my book, then called âDragon Dreamsâ

Hereâs the official book description from over on Amazon.
In Seth Godinâs most inspiring book, he challenges readers to find the courage to treat their work as a form of art
Everyone knows that Icarusâs father made him wings and told him not to fly too close to the sun; he ignored the warning and plunged to his doom. The lesson: Play it safe. Listen to the experts. It was the perfect propaganda for the industrial economy. What boss wouldnât want employees to believe that obedience and conformity are the keys to success?
But we tend to forget that Icarus was also warned not to fly too low, because seawater would ruin the lift in his wings. Flying too low is even more dangerous than flying too high, because it feels deceptively safe.
The safety zone has moved. Conformity no longer leads to comfort. But the good news is that creativity is scarce and more valuable than ever. So is choosing to do something unpredictable and brave: Make art. Being an artist isnât a genetic disposition or a specific talent. Itâs an attitude we can all adopt. Itâs a hunger to seize new ground, make connections, and work without a map. If you do those things youâre an artist, no matter what it says on your business card.
Godin shows us how itâs possible and convinces us why itâs essential.
